Sarah

Sarah had her first dance performance last weekend, and our sweet friend Jade came to do her hair, as I had no idea what to do with it. It ended up mostly falling out, so we opted to stick a flower in and call it good! I'll try to get a video on soon of the cute performance.

She was so proud to get flowers from her Daddy!

I was going through a pile of papers today and pulled out a few cute things Sarah has written recently. Above is a list I found of what she wanted to do with her friends when they came over. Love it!

The note above is what she wrote last night at the Challenge auction. She was being pretty "notee" (naughty), so maybe she wanted to assure herself that Jesus still loved her!

Not sure if you can read this one, but it was adorable and I just had to put it on here!

Fun date with Sarah

My sweet sis was given 2 tickets to D*sney on Ice a few weeks ago--didn't have a great desire to go, so she gave them to me. I decided to surprise Sarah and take her there. The day we went was blizzard-like conditions outside, so my sweet husband offered to take us--I'm a wimp when it comes to driving in bad weather. We got the kids loaded up, not telling them where we were going. When we got to my sister's to pick up the tickets, I let Sarah read them--the top pic is her "before it sunk in" look. Below is after--she was sooo excited! She's been begging to go to D*sney World since she was 2 or so--I told her this was going to be very similar. :)

Here we are before the show. We were in the 2nd row--amazing seats!
M*ckey and M*nnie came out first, followed by Cars, which we weren't too fond of--not nearly "girlie" enough for my Sarah!
Sarah's favorite was Ariel.
She was so engaged the entire time--soaking it all in.
The Lion K*ng...we have the soundtrack, so this was really special for her, too.
And last of all, Tink...I don't know this story as well, but it was still fun.
Toward the end, all this confetti came falling down on us--for a long time--it was pretty magical, but I just kept feeling more and more sorry for the people that would have to clean it up!
All in all, a great date with Sarah--you can't see the girl next to her, but they became best of friends by the end of the performance...sharing popcorn and asking for each others' phone numbers! I love how Sarah gets so excited to make new friends!
And Rob had to make it a fun time for the boys, as well. They went to the Union Station--spent most of their time in a gift shop picking out a pouch full of rocks. They will treasure them for years!
