Why Levi loves summer break

...frogs, frogs and more frogs. Every year I wonder if his love will continue, and it hasn't let up a bit! He is sooo interested in frogs, and he now has all the little boys in our cul-de-sac helping him track them down. They probably had 15 of them in this nifty frog catcher--including one tree frog, which thrilled them! (There's a short video below of them--couldn't get move the pictures around today for some reason, so they're out of order. Paprika--I'd advise you not to watch--you may have nightmares tonight!)
...no structure. He's loving having his afternoons free while Jas and sometimes Sarah are napping. He and his neighbor Kaden got our deck all set up with Kid's Bop music, games and more. I'm pretty sure this game is mouse trap--felt like they were playing it for hours, totally content. They'd take a dancing break every once in a while to stretch out a bit, then it was back to the game.

And here's the video--I got a kick out of watching them hop around, but made sure to tell them to let them go after observing them!

Field Day

Levi's school had field day this week--so much fun! We loved watching him get pumped up for his "races"--he thinks he's the fasted one in his class and was disappointed when he didn't get first place, but he actually improved drastically since last year. So cute to watch!

Their whole class would pick a favorite for most of the races they watched and would chant in unison that kid's name. Oh, they're growing up!
Even little Sissy got to join in the fun.

And here's how Jas spent most of his morning--curled up in an old blanket, rolling around, laughing, pretending to sleep, playing dead, ... He's so easily entertained!

Why is it?

Jason--I can't figure out why he'll play with toys for hours at a garage sale, but I can barely get him to look at them in our house! He loved these cheap McD*nalds toys. Funny kid.

Spring game fun--the kids had a blast! I love living in this town!
